Your results are hereIn what can only be described as very trying conditions, I would like thank all the officials, volunteers, spectators and athletes for their involvement. I would also like to thank the sponsors for their continued support of this meet. You make it possible for so many of the above mentioned to enjoy high quality athletics in our home town.
Discussions will take place shortly in regards to the 2009 event. The event may continue on but it will be under a different name and the event will be organised by a different group. Troop Events and Management would like to thank you all for your support over the last 4 years and also to Ron Clarke for allowing us to use his name for this meet. To have done what we have done in the last 4 years with 2 world records, the Trevor Billingham trophy between Geelong and Corio Little Athletic centres, mixing entertainment with sport and providing opportunities for not only our countries best athletes but also Geelongs own, it has been a journey that I have been proud to be a part of.
